Flamingo Gardens is a 60-acre botanical garden and wildlife sanctuary, home to the largest collection of native Florida wildlife, including alligators, bobcats, eagles, otters, panthers, peacocks, and, of course, flamingos. The gardens feature over 3,000 species of rare and exotic, tropical, subtropical, and native plants. The narrated tram tour provides an overview of the area and highlights the different gardens and wildlife habitats.
One of the main attractions is the historic Wray Home Museum, built in 1933, which offers a glimpse into life in South Florida during the early 20th century. The museum is the oldest residence in Broward County west of University Drive and is listed as a Historic Landmark. The gardens host various events throughout the year, including seasonal festivals and educational programs for all ages.
